I wanted to get some feedback on the name Jinx for my daughter. I’ve seen it used in pop culture by some really badass female characters (from Bond girls to famous actresses to comic book characters) and I think the name is powerful, pretty and unique. I wanted to get some feedback though, I’ve had some mixed reviews, some people love it, others have said it’s unlucky or that it is more of a pet name. Obviously, I personally disagree, I think it’s a gorgeous girl name and the word jinx is supposed to mean a charm, I think it gets a bad rep because of superstition. However, I want to get some more opinions to better weigh the pros and cons of the name and get a better sense of what negative things might be said about the name.
Please let me know your thoughts.
