Looks like a Russian surname.
My 1st thought is Villanova. It's a university, which I guess is based on a surname.
My 2nd thought is of Casanova.
My 3rd thought is that someone couldn't decide between Valentina and Nova.
I feel indifferent to it. I don't feel like I'd be excited to see it used, but I wouldn't be sympathetic or horrified if I did.

Hi!
Firstly I read "Vallenuova" that means "new valley" in Italian (it's a lovely place name and surname, unfortunately not a given name) but then I noticed that was actually Valenova. Valenova is too similar to Valentina.

It looks like (and apparently is?) a Slavic patronymic surname. Maybe an old one. Va-LEN-o-va
I think the surname ending is too obvious for it to make a good first name, but maybe that's just me.

It's first time I encounter this name, I couldn't really find it's meaning or origin. I think it sounds good?
