Help[Opinions] Hope
Last night, or possibly sometime within the dawn hours, I dreamt that my niece Clara had instead been named Hope. I don't know what prompted this really. I know I prefer her actual name, but Hope is nice too, I think.
There may have been other names mentioned in the dream (man, it was a really strange one. 😂) but that one is the only one I could remember. What are your thoughts on Hope? Would you ever use it?

Somewhere, not sure where, I'm sure I remember an account of a 19th century British family who named their triplet girls Faith, Hope and, yes, Charity. Of the three, Faith could shorten to Fay, which isn't too bad, but the other two really do not impress me at all. If anyone wanted, for religious reasons probably, to use any of them, the mn position would be preferable.

A virtue name. I think it's pretty, and a bit less of a cliché than, say, Faith (which I like, too), or obscure as, say, Verity. (Obscure in an American context, at least. I know that, while not exceptionally popular, Verity is consistently used in some parts of the world.)

It sounds really ugly, and I think it's schmaltzy. I would never use it.
