Scipio seems ultra geeky, like some history nerd had always fantasized to use it and so they did - it's nifty on paper - but didn't use it for himself because it's actually not that great, as a name to bear rather than give. I don't like it - don't think it would seem awfully cool in real life. Skippy-o. Hank just seems like one of those masculine midcentury type nicknames, like Jim, Bob, Frank, Lon, Walt, and Bill. I also feel like it seems a bit contrived to seem plain and rough - not something I feel negative about in itself, but it does come off like that to me. I don't like the sound of it, either. Word associations are not good. If I saw them as a sibset I might wonder whether Hank was a nickname for Hannibal. Or maybe 2 parents had agreed that they would take turns choosing their kids' names.- mirfak
