Mali is aight. Avi is so common here that it's nothing special to me, but it's good. It seems it has become the stereotypical name for Israeli men in America, though I know some american jews named Avi too.

Mali is pretty, I can see it working in today’s naming arena. Avi I love. Nice as a full name, nice as a nn for Avraham and other similar names.
