Dale Evans, married to Roy Rogers. She was instrumental in changing the way kids with Down Syndrome were treated. Before Evans most kids with Downs Syndrome were institutionalized, but Evans refused to do that. Instead she brought her child with her when performing.

Unfortnately she was also one of the celeberties, along with Ginger Rogers, that helped popularize the religious right.
