[Opinions] Vivian wdyt?
One of my faves but I can’t think of a nn apart from Viv and Vivi. Anything else? Wdyt of the name?

This was my grandmother’s name, so it has a very personal, special tie to me. I’d like to honor her through a child’s name some day, but I probably wouldn’t use Vivian (as, my brother wants to call his daughter Vivian). She normally would go by Viv as a nickname; she hated Vivi. I may be biased due to my grandmother, but I feel this name is lively as its meaning. Also, I know that this name is unisex, but I definitely get a feminine impression and find it a girl name.ETA: I don’t much care for the variant of Vivienne.

It sounds a too frilly for my taste. I have a sot spot for Vivi as a nickname, though. I prefer Vivienne or Vivica.
I like it! It sounds brave to me. I like Vivian or Vivien for emphasis on VIV, or Vivienne for emphasis on ENNE.Nicknames get to be a stretch soon after Viv and Vivi but: Vi, Via, Viana, Ani, Ivy, Ivi, Vian, Vin, Van, Vivani, Vani, V
I like it but prefer Vivienne
I love Vivian. I think Viv is a fine nickname, bit if you need more options, maybe Ani? Vi? Via? V?
I love the nickname Vivi, although from the spellings I prefer it spelled with an “e” instead of “a.”
I also prefer the spelling Vivienne. I like it.I knew a few Vivians growing up, they'd be 90+ if they were still alive. It does have that WWII-era sound I like. Vee would be a cool nickname.
It's one of my top favorite male names.Vivien, Vivienne, and Viviane are lovely.Evie could work as a nickname. Viva?
Oh I adore Vivian. I do prefer it spelled Vivienne though and another nickname could be Vi.
