I live in South Africa, where Afrikaans (a dialect of Dutch) is spoken as a first language by 14% of the population (and English by 9%). Anneke, with spelling variations, is almost exclusively used by Afrikaans speakers.

Btw is Anneke pronounced like Annika (ah-nah-ka or an-nah-ka)?
