As for the name, well, Sadie's only about the most popular name for dogs that I know of, besides Bella, and that's about it.

Sadie is a very popular dog name, you're right, and that was my main reservation, but we decided to use it anyway. Everyone in the family liked it, which is always a hard position to arrive at, and it has good associations for us.
