Feels incomplete to me. I like Juliet and Julianne better.
I prefer the French version Julie to the Roman Julia. It just sounds like a friendly, down-to-earth, girl next door kind of name. For me, it also has a cool factor. I remember watching The Mod Squad as a kid and there was a character named Julie played by Peggy Lipton.
I think it's a charming name, and a good nickname for Juliette or Juliana.
It's not bad, but I very much prefer Julia, Juliet, and Juliana.
It's pretty cool. I like Julia more. Julie is to Julia like Katie is to Katherine. More young and fun. More perky and crotchety
I think Julie could work as a nick for a Julian, too, as long as he accepted it.

Pretty but dull.
It’s sweet, I prefer it over Julia.
Though I do prefer Julia by a mile, I think that Julie is a spunky name! I have always enjoyed it, and I'd use Julia (with the potential nickname "Julie") if it weren't for my step-aunt, Julie.
I like it as a nickname for Julia or Juliet
I don't like it. Julia is fine and Juliet is excellent, but I wouldn't use Julia - unfortunate association - and I'd only consider Juliet as a mn, precisely in order to avoid trite and dated Julie.
I think it's sweet name. I LOVE it.
Very popular, but I see its appeal. I also like Julia, Jules, Julianne and Julianna.
