[Opinions] Names Expected to Gain Popularity in 2025
Replies
I am not surprised by any of these picks.
Yes to Eloise :)
At least Elio is an upcoming Pixar movie, not that I think it’s going to cause a major boost in popularity.
Sibyl (this spelling only) and Odette are my favorites. I wonder why Sybil is predicted to rise in popularity.
It is listed because of the Downton Abbey movie coming out and the idea of Billie as a nickname. Billie can also be seen as a grandpa name for people who like that trend.

I like Juniper, Eloise, Kit, Astrid, Lilia, and Margot.
I wonder why they think these names will rise in popularity, especially Locket, Chapel, Townes and Wells.
I love Sybil, would be interesting to see it rise and Odette. Florence seems to be an "English theme", it is #8 in the UK (2023) and #521 in the USA. Sybil on the chart in the UK, even if only #941.

Maybe because of Chappell Roan? I know it's not her real name and Chapel isn't the same, but I can't think of other reason.
Locket, Townes and Wells are more confusing...

Some of these I can believe; others already seem to be pretty popular.
Locket? I've never met a single Locket in my life, and though I'm aware some reality "star" or some such did name a poor kid Locket, ...
