Hi all, finally coming on here with name questions for a real baby!
It's a boy (but that's not public knowledge so if you know who I am IRL, don't reveal the gender)
The first name is likely to be Robin because that's the one we're agreeing on most. Still open to other first names though. Some that are still on the list but the dad isn't super enthusiastic about are Ronan, Sylvan, and Kieran.
We both really like the middle name Peregrine, but I don't think a kid would want to have two bird names.
Any thoughts, especially middle name ideas for Robin or other first name suggestions?

Congrats! I utterly adore Robin for a boy!
The only name I can think to suggest is Larkin, same ending letters as Robin, Lark is also a bird and both names are Medieval English nicknames (Robert = Robin; Lawrence = Larkin).

We brought up Cedric a couple times and I sort of vetoed it because I thought everyone would think of Cedric Diggory, but I still like the idea of Cedric or Cerdic.

Congrats! Robin is very cute, but I personally don’t like it paired with Peregrine. I am unconvinced the boy will know Peregrine is a bird until much much later and even then, he might not. I had no idea that Peregrine was a bird - a normal, non-bird person would just call the thing a "falcon" and that's it. The only birds people know actual names of are like Robins, Doves, Pigeons (I know these are doves, but most people will have no idea. "rats with wings" they call them which is a real shame, I like pigeons. They argue that they shit everywhere and its like??? all animals shit everywhere Dave - your dog is literally shitting on the carpet right now) and maybe like the Dodo and Falcons / Hawks (they will not know the difference), and of course the Titbird based upon the name alone
tl;dr the kid will likely not know or care in my opinion. If he's anything like my brother, he might not know off the top of his head what his middle name actually is
Robin Peregrine is a fine combo. It might not be my taste, but the combo works

Congratulations!! Robin is a gorgeous name, up there as one of my favourite unisex names of all time. Peregrine is awesome too (of course haha), but I think two bird names is probably a lot, and I’d personally avoid it. That being said, middle names aren’t used all that much in day to day life anyway, so I’d say it’s not the end of the world by any means if you did use it. More suggestions:

I love the sound of Casimir but was hesitating on it because it looks like it means "destroy the world" or "destroy peace" haha. Or am I misinterpreting how the element meanings were meant to combine?

There's some disagreement about the meaning of the "cas" part, apparently, but if we assume it means "to destroy" then yes, it would mean "destroyer of peace". I can see why that would make you hesitate.
I would have used Robin if I'd had an extra son! My mn thoughts, back in the day, were Robin Gregor or Robin Gregory; Robin Alastair; Robin Victor Conrad (my kids got 3 names each); I liked Robin Douglas, but a friend at uni was Robin, surname Douglas, so that was out. Robin Keith? Just watch out for mns starting with vowels: Robin Alastair, for instance, is excellent unless your surname is Taylor. I knew someone, unfortunately a woman, whose initials were DAD. Hmmm - or you could go the 2-mn route and consider Robin James Peregrine. Anyway, be aware that brand-new babies are capable of NOT looking like the name their parents chose for them: my daughter was all set to be Lucy until I saw her, and it clearly wouldn't do. So I sat down with a Names book and started going through the alphabet until I discovered that she looked like a Caroline. Very strange, but it happens. My delighted congratulations, whatever the name may be - just enjoy him!
Thanks! I would be tempted to add a second middle name but he's already getting two last names and I don't want the name to get too long. Alastair is definitely an option.

No suggestions, but the name Robin is on my mind just right now because of seeing the mayor of Dover, Delaware on the news tonight. His name, first and last, is Robin Christopher. Poor man probably grew up on Winnie the Pooh jokes.

I didn’t make the Winnie the Pooh connection until you mentioned it.
I like lots of these! Branwell got vetoed already and we know a baby named Tiberius. Not sure about Stellan but I do like Soren, just not sure if it's usable because we know people with the same name. Maybe that's inevitable though.
