I don't know why, but suddenly I like this name.
What do you think of Batel (baht-EHL)? Have you met anyone named it?

Not a fan, I don’t find the “bat” part attractive. Never met anyone by the name, I’d assume they were very devout Jews.
When I first saw it, I thought "battle?" But with the pronunciation provided, I get the appeal. I like L endings and wish I had more B names on my PNL. The meaning is nice.
Not fond of it. I don't really like the sound or the look of it.
I know a Batel who's 16 years old - she's Jewish, which probably isn't surprising. I like it a lot.
I just looked it up because I've never heard it before. I was surprised that it's a feminine name, I thought it was masculine.
