[Opinions] “Adjective” names
Replies
Fun question! Not all of these are English, or would be initially thought of as adjectives, but I think they work. Tbh I think a lot of Ancient Roman names were adjectives/descriptors.
Marine, Sunny, Irenee, Jean, Misty, Iridián, True, Ever, Serene, Rosy, Bianca, Heavenly, Seven, Indie, Florentine, Lively, Désirée, Aimée, Renée, Delphine
Angelica feels like an adjective name, even though it isn't, quite.
Frank, Savio, Rocky, Sandy, August, Urban, Carmine, Paschal, Norman, Nuno, Aurelius, Cyprian, Major, Octavius, Chance, Beau, Rowdy, Wilder, Sylvan, Roman, Sincere, West, North, Felix, Junior, Constant, Honoré

Yes! My childhood bedroom’s paint colour was Wisteria :)
So, I think, was mine: just the colour, a light lavender-mauve, not the name, and it was limewash, not paint. My parents let me choose it, and I also picked out a cheerful yellow for the ceiling - 'like sunshine' I remember explaining.
I suppose all if not most color names could be considered adjectives.
I've heard some people use words likes Precious, Brave, True, Noble as first names. I've seen Jolie and Belle used mainly in English-speaking countries, but they are adjectives in French, meaning pretty and beautiful respectively. Oh and Clément in French literally means, to be merciful. We can say ''il est clément'', which means ''he is merciful''.
And Ernest sounds like the word ''earnest''.
