Help[Opinions] How characters names do you think the Baby-Sitters Club series would have if they were started in a different time period?
I've known that the series called "The babysitter Club" on internet. Because of that series of started in 80s, the characters' names (and fashions) also feel 80s.
The club member's names are:
Kristin "Kristy" Amanda Thomas (President)
Claudia Lynn Kishi (Vice President)
Mary Anne Spier (Secretary)
Anastasia "Stacey" Elizabeth McGill (Treasurer)
Dawn Read Schafer (Official Alternate Officer)
Mallory Pike (Junior Officer, then Honorary Member)
Jessica "Jessi" Davis Ramsey (Junior Officer)
Abigail "Abby" Stevenson (Alternate Officer)

The books were started in 1986 which means that the characters would have been born in the mid-1970s. Going off that, looking at popularity and vibes, I would go with:
Kristy: Brianna Allison
Claudia: Isla Michelle
Mary Anne: Chloe Jade
Stacey: Lilianna Elizabeth
Dawn: Grace
Mallory: Marleigh
Jessi: Emily
Abigail: Carmen
Logan: Lachlan
Shannon: Addison

I think Logan, Abigail, Jessica and Mallory would probably keep their names. Maybe Claudia too. Stacey would be more likely to go by Anna.
Shannon might just make it as well, if she wasn't Shelby.
Kristen would be Kaitlyn.
Mary Ann would be something like Olivia Grace or Sophia Rose, something very plain by today's standards.
Dawn might be Eden or Summer.

I loved these books as a kid, especially being a Stacey. If they were "born" created today, they would probably have a more popular but similar version of the same names. So, looking at the 2024 list, I have renamed them.

Claudia Lynn Kishi (Vice President) - I like Claudia remaining Claudia, in homage to famous Claude artists... she's also my favorite of the babysitters so I feel a little protective of her lol
Mary Anne Spier (Secretary) - Emma Grace Spier, she needs something cutesy but classic and a little grown up
Anastasia "Stacey" Elizabeth McGill (Treasurer) - she'd keep her name but probably go by her full name
Dawn Read Schafer (Official Alternate Officer) - Brooklyn Schafer. I don't know why, but she's always struck me as a Brooklyn.
