I didn't look, but is it a play on Ponyboy?
It's the name of a song that both parents like.
I didn't look at the article, but God I hope that the song is not Pony by Ginuwine...
The story is cute enough, but I can't imagine that their son will escape bullying, unfortunately. Pony is cute on a baby, but he won't be a baby for very long. They should have gone with Colt if they wanted a name that would reflect the story. Alas.
I saw someone comment under the post that he'll probably choose to go by Ramone, which I agree seems a very likely outcome.
