A tortured soul, Laelia has struggled with their personal demons from a young age. Having grown up with all three of faer parents in academia, fae has always felt the pressure to succeed in intellectual pursuits. Unsurprisingly, this pressure caused them to develop a bit of a complex... or seven. Laelia wound up falling down the rabbithole of research into psionics, faer interest particularly piqued by a psion's ability to shape and utilize their own body. This research led them down a dark path for awhile as they honed their skills. Now with the party, fae has found a bit more stability, surrounded by a group of people fae can call faer family, a family who actually loves faer for who fae is, not for who they think fae ought to be.
This is how I learned that there's a new D&D 5E class called Psions! One of the subclasses, called a metamorph, is able to manipulate their own body to shape into weapons or stretch super long (think Mr. Fantastic, from the Fantastic Four). And now I wanna explore that. :P
