[Opinions] Re: Names I heard recently
I kind of like Bronte. For a girl. It only makes me think of the Bronte sisters, but also slightly of the name Bronwen.
I like it less for a boy. Because Bronte sisters, but also because on a boy the Bron-part makes me think of the word bronco.
It's just my idiosyncratic response.Jackson on a girl makes me want to laugh, just a little. Like, does there even exist an objectively more masculine, less feminine name than Jackson? Jack (generic term for a man) + son (meaning a male child)? The only reasons to name a girl Jackson would be ...
Nevermind...
If anyone can explain what someone is really thinking when they do this, please do.
By the way if it were just spelled Jaxyn (seems conventionally F) or Jaxen (neutral), I would hardly notice anything odd about it at all.- mirfak
