[Opinions] What names can Mimi be a nickname for?
It's not as obvious as Gigi for Genevieve or Jojo for Joanna/Josephine/Joelle.

My cat's name is Sabrina and that turned into Mimi somehow.
Melanie, Maria, Michelle, Millie, or Minnie
Mireia, Emilia, Meredith, Elmira, Minerva, Artemis, Medora, Demeter, Millicent, Tomiris, Midori, Amity, Merope, Hermina, Ludmilla.
Margaret Mary and Mireille are two real life Mimis known to me.
There is a C-List Marvel villain-turned-superhero called Screaming Mimi (now Songbird). Real name is Melissa Gold.
Mimi is not as common a nickname as Missy, but I've heard it used for Melissa once or twice.
Maria, Marielle, Mirabel, Miana, Nima?
I've known two Mimi's. One is Marie, and the other is Imari.
Any name with a mee sound, basically. Amina, Wilhelmina, Camila, Amelia, Miriam .. plus Mary, Marina, Michelle.
Anything containing "mi": Millicent, Minerva, Miriam, Mildred, Artemisia, Artemidora, Erasmia, Minodora, Mimosa, Flaminia, etc.

Microdora (a terrier we have) “Mimi”
The only Mimi I've known was a Miriam; just about any version of Mary would do just as well, and so would Miranda, Melinda etc.
