[Facts] Re: Baby Name Help!!!
in reply to a message by Michelle
How many grandmothers are there, Michelle? I'm counting 4 -- unless "Anna" and "Mae" are middle names?
Just asking, coz I'd like to try seeing what comes out of an anagram of the names. :)

Sweet snowboarding Mother Teresa! Perhaps you should just name the child Patricia Mae (is that one from each side, I hope?) and send flowers to the other two? (And yes, I'm taking the idea of 4 grandmothers completely in stride. I had 5, all gone now, alas!)
Jury-rigging up some grotesque combination of syllables will ultimately satisfy no one.

You had 5 grandmothers? What -- simultaneously? Hey, Daividh, your grandpappy wasn't a Morman, was he? ;)

No, just in a family with a lot of divorces where the divorced men recruited some pretty nurturing women.
First when I was REALLY young, my Mom's parents divorced and Granddad's new wife really took to us kids.
A while later, my parents divorced, both remarried, and the new stepmother's and stepfather's mothers were each the same way.
Those plus the two original grandparents makes five. We were encouraged by these ladies to call each of them some form of "Grandma", and we didn't fight it. They had genuine affection for us, and the extra presents and spoiling were great!
Considering the sheer familial hell I see emerging from a lot of split families, we were blessed.
