[Opinions] Re: Okay, okay, I'm thinkin
Well, most no one ever borrows my combos. ;) Strange thing--there's not much call for children by name of Thursday Honorah, apparently. You may have Hawkeye Scirocco (I will merely look at it and sigh happily) and may borrow Matthias Crow (which sits nicely between Crow Jerome and Alphonse Matthias in the lineup in my head) when you wish. And on the off-chance that you somehow have another boy and feel the need to call him Matthias Crow and I have a boy called Matthias Crow...well, they'll have Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, and a lot of Texas between them. It'd be safe. ;D (On the whole, I have few reservations on people stealing my names--mostly because no one ever wants to, lol. It's when I can feel that the name might become popular anyway that I get really possessive--thus why I don't like seeing Evening-Hazel-Rosemary-Ruby-etc. mentioned by anyone but me. ;)Now, to think on these combos.Hawkeye Beauregard~ Beauregard is very Southern, haha. Dunno how well it'd fit in here in the Great White North, but Hawkeye Beauregard definitely has class. I approve.Hawkeye Benedict~ It's not a long shot, I'll say that much (Hawkeye Benedict, Solveig Scholastica, b/g twins :D). I like it a great deal.Hawkeye Edward / Edmund~ Edgar is my favourite of the Ed- names, but Hawkeye Edgar doesn't work so hot for me. These two sound nicer, but I think you might be quite right in not choosing a vowel to start off the middle name.Hawkeye Gregory~ Gregor is my preferred form of this name, after poor Mr. Samsa of The Metamorphosis. But Hawkeye Gregor's stunted. Gregory is, of course, nice, but it's nice for other people, I think. :DHawkeye Jared~ One of my personal rules is that if I knew a bunch of them in high school, it's out. And every Jared in my school was a jerk. :( Hawkeye Jerome could have possibilities, though...Hawkeye Luke~ Luke would be inadvertantly honouring a cousin of mine, lol. I think Luke is, like Gregory, one of those names that I like other people to use.Hawkeye Malcolm~ And Malcolm falls into the same category as Gregory and Luke. I'm tickled pink that other people love it, but I don't like it quite enough for myself. I have an insane predilection for Mack as a nickname, though, on either sex. (I prefer it as a nickname for Marcella/Marcel(lus). Oh--Hawkeye Marcellus?)Hawkeye Patrick~ Patrick is like Jared--a bunch in my high school. And while they were nice, they were still there. It's about as fresh sounding to me as Danielle. :(Hawkeye Peter~ There actually weren't a lot of Peters, but I think it's a Gregory--great for everyone else.Hawkeye Philip~ I like Philip--it always puts me in mind of the disciple. And speaking of disciples, Philip makes me think of Thaddeus, and Hawkeye Thaddeus? ...Well, I dunno, especially as it's one AM, but it flows, if nothing else.Hawkeye Quinn~ I love Quinn on either sex (though I slightly prefer Quinn for a girl, heh--and Quincy is my first true love for boys, but Hawkeye Quincy isn't it), and Hawkeye Quinn is snazzy.Hawkeye Raphaël~ Raphael is neat, but a bit too much for me. I feel a little intimidated by it!Hawkeye Reynold~ Hmm...I don't think about Reynold very much--reminds me of Reynold's Wrap more than anything. ^^; I'll have to consider it, because I'm seeing "ey" repetition (even if the sound is different), and that's cool.Hawkeye Sebastian~ Sebastian is one of my enemies, along with Joshua. :( Hawkeye Vaughn~ You won't be all too happy to hear this, but I'm one of those people who prefer Vaughan. For Vaughan Williams, of course, and for Sarah Vaughan. Hawkeye Vaughan is very attractive.Hawkeye Zane~ Much affection as I feel for Mr. Grey, I'm not sure I'd use Zane. But Hawkeye Zane is definitely snappy. I will think on it.And Hawkeye Redwood is on the appealing side...:) I will have to sleep on it, clearly. (Really, I will just have to sleep, at this point!) I threw down the gauntlet, and you responded in kind beautifully. ;) Thank you, mon amie.Array (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...)

"Yes," said Laura.A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.

Wow *smacks self on forehead twice*Thaddeus is one of my favorites and I failed utterly to bring it forth. *sob* Hawkeye Thaddeus sounds terrific. As does Hawkeye Marcellus, equally much. You sleep well and wake to my approval!~Lillian~
