Help[Surname] Minott
My employer's last name is Minott (with two Ts) I've also seen it spelled Minot. Does anyone have info on this surname? Is it English or French and what does it mean?

Minot could be French, but Minott will be English though linguistally it's French in origin. It's from the word mignot, meaning "dainty".
