The Ac- just doesn't appeal to me much, maybe because it just sounds a little harsh to me spoken aloud. The R really helps that. The sh in Acacia helps it too.
I'd pronounce Arcadie ARcahdee, and I don't think it sounds like our katie.. it would if it was pronounced arCAIDee. ARcahdee is nice, I think. Actually, it is practically the same as Arkady.. never realized that. I like Arkady too. Maybe spelled Arcadee, you could get it pronounced the way you like it? That would be kind of cute IMO.

Oooh, Arkady is pretty. :) I think it's a very attractive name for a boy. I haven't given much of the Arcadios family of names much thought, and I'm starting to think that perhaps I should.
It's strange, but I kind of like the spelling Arcadee. Generally, I can't stand double E endings like that (especially when they turn names into things like Ashlee and Chelsee), but Arcadee kind of looks cute.
