I also know a toddler named Ethel, so don't you think that we're at a time of re-use now? I mean, most people are sick and tired of the Madisons, Natalias, Avas, and Aidans.

I've always kind of liked the name Ethel. It's my grandmother's name, so I've thought about using it for one of my daughters. But my grandmother hates it. :-)

Mind you, I must admit I find both of them unattractive, but more power to you if you like them.

I love Bertha said BER-ta. So really... Berta, probably. :-) I'd totally name a hypothetical child Roberta called Berta, if she was receptive to the nickname.
