[Opinions] WDYT of Xaverie?
First off, how would you say it? X-ave-er-ee? Zave-er-ee? Any other ideas? I say it the first one.
I think its really pretty. One source I went to says its an Aramaic name that means "bright" Other say its a French feminine form of Xavier (which is what I believe).
Some Combo ideas:
Xaverie Perla
Xaverie Beatrix
Xaverie Lisette
Xaverie Phyllis
Xaverie Celeste
Xaverie Hazel
Xaverie Iris
Xaverie Pearl
Xaverie Pilar
Thanks

I'd pronounce it: zah-veh-REE if I was trying to sound French (and failing as always: ZAH-ver-ee in my own accent.
ZAVE-er-ee sounds too much like "savory."
Xaverie Perla is the best.

The French feminine form of Xavier is Xavière (Xaviere). Xaverie would be prn. gza-vuh-ree or gza-vree. Nmsaa, sorry.
Surprisingly enough, I kind of like it. And I can't stand Xavier.
I would pronounce it Zay-ver-ee.

X-ave-er-ee would be closest to how I say it. I think I say it as ksay-vayr-EE (the X turns into a "ks" sound, if that makes sense). I think it's very pretty--I love French names, particularly unusual ones.
I think I like Xaverie Phyllis a lot, and Xaverie Perla, of yours. Xaverie Jeanne sounds very appropriately French to me (though it's a bit overboard if you're not in a Francophone country). It'd also make a VERY good middle name for one-syllable first names--June Xaverie comes to mind.
