[Opinions] Natalija and Gabrielja
Today I met two identical twins named Natalija and Gabrielja. I know someone with the name Maria spelt Marija, but I forgot what part of the world it comes from. Like with the "J"s and stuff. Does anyone know? I am very thankful if you do. Also, what do you think of the names and their spellings?

I don't care for the spellings, but the names are fine. In Spanish, "J" sounds like an English "H." I imagine it's related to that.

The Js come from Eastern European languages like Latvian and Crotatian. They sound just like a Y: nah-TAHL-ee-yah and gah-bree-EHL-yah. I'm not sure what's up with Gabrielja, though. Are you sure it wasn't Gabrijela?

Oh, thank you!
