[Opinions] Re: Clodagh
in reply to a message by Link
I love it! I have a great-aunt Clodagh and she is fabulous. She is the most awesome, energetic and with it old woman you will ever meet. I also have two friends back in Ireland with this name. The only reason I would never use it personally is that to me it is too common, just because I hear it all the time among my friends back in Tipperary and I grew up around lots of Clodaghs...but thats Tipperary where the name is like Emily, Jessica, Ashley, but has been that popular for centuries.
Anyway, back to the original question. I love the sound, love the spelling, adore the name and would be so excited to see it on a little girl not in Ireland.

Aine,
I didn't realize it was you had changed your posting name. I was wondering where you were. I'm glad you like it. I think I do, but sometimes i'm not sure. It seems similar to "Claude" to me, and that kinda turns me off it, but I want to like it. funny.
