[Opinions] Laure
What do you think of Laure (prn. LOR)? I think it's pretty, though I'm not sure I like it as much as Laurel and Laura. Any sibsets and/or combos come to mind? Could it work as a first name?
Also, which Laur- name is your favorite (Laure, Laurel, Laura, Lauren, etc; also Loretta, Loraine, etc)? Mine is Laurel.

When I took French my teacher called me this sometimes. Then when I took Italian the professor called me Low-ra (Low sounds like when you say "ow!" but with a L).
It's okay if you're french but I wouldn't use it in an English speaking country. I prefer Laura (Lor-a or Law-ra)even over my own name. Lauren is nice but will sound dated one day the way Laurie does now. I have never liked Laurel, Lorraine, Loretta, etc.

Ha in French class we all chose a name to be called by and Laure was mine. But it wasn't pronounced LOR it was more like LAR. Anyway, I really like it.
It looks really incomplete to me, like someone forgot the L or the N. The sound is sort of pretty, though.
My favorite is Laurel.
