It's mee-KHAHL, and it's pretty common (but not very). On adults more, I think, but I do know a couple of girls called that. It's nice enough, I suppose.
On another name site they had a similar name listed: Mical. Is this the same name just spelled differently?
I don't think so. Michal is said with kh, not with k. But it might be. I don't know. But I don't even know how Michal is normally pronounced in English. Say, Michael in English is Mike-ull, in Hebrew it's MEE-khah-ell (this probably sounds utterly strange to you) so Biblical names with Kh sometimes are Englishised to K sounds. *shrugs*
