I automatically think of a dog. I actually call my cat Marmaduke as a joke sometimes because of her dog-like tendencies.

As Jake Morgendorffer once said..."Why don't they put Marmaduke to sleep?"I can't stand that comic strip--it rivals Blondie as far as utter dullness is concerned--and I don't find the name endearing, with or without the big orange dog.Array
