Just as a side, I live in Scotland and I've never seen
Islay used it on a boy, though I've seen it several times on girls. Despite the spelling it's pronounced EYE-lah, not EYE-lay, and so it's used as a female name like the more popular
Isla is.
I like
Iona, and
Skye for either sex. I used to like
Harris but I think it's too trendy these days, plus an uncle I don't like much used it for his son ;-)
