My only experience with Eglantine is from the movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks. The movie is set in England and the name is prn. EGG-lin-tine with a long "i" sound.

Thank you! I saw that movie when it first came out in the theaters so you can see it's been a while. I didn't remember it was a character's name, so I'm very grateful for the pronunciation. Yay!
Now I'm more apt to think of it as Chaucer's (very English) character and add it to my obscure medieval name list.
