I think Sullivan is very cute for a boy. I've only heard it used once, but I really like it. Sully is a cute nickname.
I dont really like it for a girl - I don't find it at all feminine. And personally, I prefer nicknames that are really obvious - so that you can normally tell what the persons full name is. I don't really think you could pull anything obvious aside from Sully & Liv from Sullivan!
