[Opinions] Ozma & Sunni
WDYT of Ozma nn Oz and Sunni for girls?I adore the name Oz on a girl, but I thought Ozma (yes like the Princess from Wizard of Oz, that's where I got it from] was more appropriate. I really like the name Ozma. I has a dream I used it.Sunni I heard on the radio today, I only like it spelled this way. I know it's also a part of Islam, but I am talking about the "sun", I dislike the Sunny spelling. I also like Sunshine nn Sunni.any MN suggestions for both?

Ozma reminds me of Osama and asthma. :-/ Sunshine nn Sunny (or Sunni) is a GP name of mine. But it's also the name of one of my cats, so that's another reason I wouldn't use it for a child. :b

There's not a princess in the movie The Wizard of Oz. There's a princess in the series of Oz books. After the wizard and Dorothy leave Oz, the rightful ruler of the country, Ozma, a girl ruler, eventually comes back to power. :) I'm such a book junkie.

I really dislike them both. I can't help but think of Princess Ozma from the Wizard of Oz and I just see Sunni as a denomination of Islam, not a name.

Good reason not to spell it Sunni :-/

Ozma is too Wizard of Oz for me plus I don't really care for the sound. As for Sunny, it's nms, but I really dislike the Sunni spelling unless it's a nickname for Sunniva. How about Rosaline nn Oz? I have heard the name pronounced with the "oz" sound before. I also knew a woman named Roswell who went by Roz (rhyming with Oz). Roswell is too masculine for my liking, but I just thought that I'd throw it out there as an example.
