[Opinions] Pastora
This name has been sitting in the back of my mind for some time. In my mind, the first thing I think of is not "pastor," but "pastoral." I think of rolling hills, countryside, etc. For whatever reason, I find that appealing. I also think it has a nice, soft sound. The "pastor" association puts me off, though. I don't like it.Wdyto Pastora? Do you think it would work better as a mn because of the association with pastors and religion? Or do you think it'd be okay as a fn? Do you have any mn suggestions?

I think of Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony. Pastora does nothing for me (odd, considering how well I like -ora names), but I think it's pretty enough for someone else. :)Pastora Lucille
Pastora Flavie
Pastora Jules
Pastora Tess
Pastora Lenore (along the lines of Mashka's Rosabel Estella?)
Pastora Calliope

I had the Pastoral association first to, but to me that suggests shepherds. Smelly shepherds, for some reason. So even though I like the sound, and the image of rolling hills, and, in general, shepherds, right this moment it seems like a name for a girl who smells like livestock. Lol, sorry.

I do not like the name Pastora. It doesn't sound nice when spoken out aloud, having said that, as a middle name it would be acceptable. Definately not a first name though as you correctly point out it bears a strong link to'pastors' and I don't think that association makes for a particularly nice girls name.
