I came across this masculine name while reading 'Dublin: Foundation' by Edward Rutherfurd. The book's about medieval Dublin, and the name might be Celtic or else Scandinavian (which I consider to be more likely). Information on origin and meaning needed.

I always thought it was a Viking name (that's was I learnt at school anyway!)
