I LOVE the name Julian. I don't know why people see it as feminine, but I agree that many people do. Maybe because it's so close to all the feminine Juli- names: Julie, Julia, Juliana, Julianne, etc. But don't let close-mindedness dissuade (sp?) you from a great name.
I like all your combos, but rank them:
1) Julian Thomas
2) Julian Henry
3) Julian Alexander
Also, would Jude be an acceptable nn for Julian? I know the Beatles' song "Hey Jude" is after John Lennon's son, Julian, but I didn't know if that was an accepted nn or not. I love both names. :)
