Help[Opinions] Teressa
Teressa is pronounced like Teresa, but with a RESS instead of REESE in the middle. My sister has a friend by this name, and she usually just goes by T. What do you think? I think it sounds a little more youthful than Teresa, personally, though maybe not quite as elegant.

I agree completely, it is more youthful, but definitely lacks the grace, elegance, and timeless qualities that Teresa has. I think it would never be seen as a "real" name, only a strange variant.

I definately prefer Teresa. I know someone by that name who also goes by T.

The pronunciation is nice, but the spelling looks kind of crowded. I have heard Teresa pronounced te-RESS-a before anyways. In fact, it's common for the -es in Teresa to be pronounced more like -ESS in other languages. I don't think that you have to respell it for this pronunciation.

i agree not as elagant but definately more youthful. I actually quite like Teressa.

I dislike it. Teresa is lovely as it is. Teressa is gilding the lily--and I'm betting it's hard to get people to pronunce it correctly.
