What is your opinion of the name Harper for a boy? I seem to really like this name. Do you feel its an ok boys name. Tell me all your thoughts on it. Also what names would go good with this name in your opinion. Thanks for your time.

I like the name for a boy, however I do have a friend that named her daughter Harper Miranda.

Why not? It's a surname and an occupation, not a first name, anyway, so what does it matter which gender it's on?

I like it. I have a feeling it will have a rise in popularity after the recent movies about Truman Capote and Harper Lee. Still, I doubt it will ever be too popular.

I love Harper and even though I prefer it on a girl, I think its still useable on either sex.

Well, its better than Harper for a girl which I really loathe.

I just really dislike it as a fn, or mn. Its a surname, of a great friend of mine who went by his last name (which is why its certainly not a girls name).
