No your name IMO has nothing to do with the name you choose. The important thing is that you really love the name.
I don't think it'd be too strange. You're certainly not giving it in the same light as that Leah did, and most people won't make such a connection. The stories of Jacob and Joseph were some of my favourites growing up, and I didn't make the connection, lol.
I really like Zilpah, and also Zilpha--as in the children's author Zilpha Keatley Snyder, who wrote, among other things, The Egypt Game.

Zilpah was a pretty minor character in the Bible, so I doubt most people will hear it and automatically think "slave girl!"
I don't know what to make of it for when she finds it out, though, and I think, inevitably, she would. I don't know anyone who didn't at some time question the meaning of his or her name growing up. That could be awkward for you, but I don't know if it's enough to not want to use it, though. Tough call.

I don't think so and most people wouldn't even know the meaning. I also like the name Zilpah.
