[Opinions] Pomona
What do you think of the name Pomona? I gather it is the name of a couple of cities in the states. I really love it though and that doesn't bother me. I like it with the nn Pomme and I think it fits in with the name's meaning. What do you think of the combo Celia Pomona?Edit: hyperlinks and so it makes a bit more sense.

Celia is pretty, but I really don't like the sound of Pomona. The meaning is nice though.

I love it! I'd seriously consider it if our LN didn't start with P.

StoreNot only is it the name of many cities here in the states but it is very close to the name of a chain of stores called Pamida (Pum-eye-duh). Not exactly references I would want for my child's name, but it isn't horrible.

I actually like it a lot. Pomme is a cute nickname and Celia Pomona is a great combo. I think it's a good idea to keep Pomona in the mn slot too.

Kindof apple-y. but cute.

I rather like the apple-y-ness (gosh that looks appalling, but it is fun to say). I've always liked the phrase "apple of my eye" and there is a song with that in the lyrics which has special meaning for me. I thought the nn Pomme would embrace the apple-y feel.

I thought so, too :-)It reminded me of apples and also of 'Pommes frites.'http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/PommesBut I still think it's cute. Celia Pomona is adorable.

I'm not a huge fan of the "moan" sound in names, so I can't really get on board with this. Pomme is a cute NN, and I guess it's not bad as a MN. Celia Pomona is nice.

I think it's quite nice. Not the greatest name in the world, but it's still okay. Celia Pomona doesn't really go if you ask me. The a's at the end clash a bit.
