I dont believe that nn's are a must. I am really loathing the fact that most people here seem to think its going to happen to matter what. I know many people with a full name that gets shorten a lot, but wont let it. They say their parents always called them by their full name, so thats what they always went by. If they ever used a nn it was a SO or a best friend since childhood kind of deal.

Either way, I think Alexandra is the best Alex- choice, and with no nn, I am liking it more. However, I am still sick of hearing Alex- names in general.
