[Facts] Condi's wacky name never hurt her career...
...'though one might argue that the name Condoleezza has a somewhat noble etymology (from the Italian musical term "Con Dolcezza" meaning "to sing with sweetness"). As with everything, it all boils down to taste: some contrived names are beautiful other are quite tacky. IMHO, names based on brands of consumer goods (eg. La'Nokia, Armani, Courvoisier, Dijon, Yashica, Rolexia, Bulova, Tiffany, Dresden, and the inimitable Ronald McDonald) are the the most questionable aesthetically. Of course, good taste is in the eye of the beholder, who am I to judge...
