I agree with you. CAHR-oh-line is how I (and 99.9 of the world) say it. CAHR-oh-lyn should be spelled Carolyn.

Caroline is pronounced as Carolyn in French-speaking countries and in Sweden.
Of course, Caroline is pronounced as CAHR-o-line in ENGLISH-speaking countries.
