[Opinions] Re: Candice
My sister is named Candis (this spelling - which is after our paternal aunt), so I have a fondness for it, in any form. And I plan on using it as a mn for a daughter, if I ever get the opportunity. ;bMy sis is now in her 40s, and she was called Candi while growing up, but insists on being called Candis now. However, she hasn't been able to shake off family and old friends calling her "Candi" (which I do, too), but it doesn't bother her with us. I don't think it needs a nn, though. One reason she was always called Candi was because our Aunt Candis sometimes lived nearby, so it was a way to differentiate. So I have a hard time calling my sister that, because in some ways I do still associate it with our crabby old aunt. ;)
