I love it. Spunky, and has a great meaning. Kai is a cute nn.
I think it sounds fine with Mason. They start with different sounds (Mah- May-) so IMO it works. Alliteration is nothing to be afraid of, if they start with different sounds.
Back home I looked after a Madison Marjory M_______, so a triple M. Her twin sister was Zoe Anne.
