If it weren't for the unfortunate "homophone" associations already mentioned, which also occurred to me, I think I might prefer Royd to Floyd or even just Roy. I love Lloyd and like Boyd enough that Royd wouldn't beat them out. But Royce does come to mind...similar feel without the "homophone" problem; the car association doesn't bother me.
