I don’t like it. Probably also because I’ve known one Reggie, ever, and he was a big, tall guy with red hair and beard, and was super loud and funny. So, that’s the picture that comes to mind. I can’t picture it on a little girl.
One of my grandma’s, her middle name was Regina. She was very proper and mannerly, courteous and lady-like. I can’t imagine ever hearing her called Reggie as a nickname.
