If we are talking about the Latvian name, it's pronounced [ˈlau.ma]. Going by this site's pronunciation key, this roughly translates to LOW-ma.
The name has an interesting background https://www.britannica.com/topic/lauma, but I greatly prefer Laima.
Any chance you could ask your cousin if this is indeed the Latvian name?

Eh, I'd feel weird asking after it. It's a cousin I don't talk to regularly so it'd be super random.
