Sorry, it's ok as a nn for Dorothy, and even then for a young child, but really unsuitable as a full name. Can you imagine a CEO named Dottie or a 80-year old woman named Dottie? I also can't shake off the fact that it's close to "dotty", as in slang for crazy.
